Overview

Social Media Beast is a social media-centric digital marketing firm located in Chicago. We combine a variety of digital services to make money for our small to medium sized clients including promotions, advertising, astounding content, monitoring, outreach, websites, and SEO. Social Media Beast is owned by the O'Malley Magnusson Publishing Group, LLC and is sister company to Concierge Preferred and Pinnacle Advertising.  

The purpose of this position is to optimize performance for our clients in order to drive growth. Helping our clients grow will result in more opportunities for Social Media Beast and thus, more opportunities for our team.  

This position is an opportunity for someone with a passion for account management, leadership, marketing and creativity, and experience with, or a working knowledge of social media and/or digital marketing. We are looking for a hardworking, highly motivated, detail-oriented individual; someone that is personable, quick-thinking and looking to help build a special company and culture, while also fast-tracking his or her career.

Responsibilities

  • Own the client accounts and ensure they are running optimally. This includes daily client interaction and service, supervision of a client’s content and advertising, as well as ensuring that work is produced on time and within budget.
  • Develop a strong understanding of our services and capabilities to better develop solutions for our clients.
  • Build strong relationships and foster team spirit with both our clients and members of the SMB team.
  • Educate clients on new techniques, strategies and opportunities to improve their marketing
  • Contribute to the sale of great SMB services and play a pivotal role in the development of advertising and creative strategies.
  • Delegate both up and down in a constructive and productive manner.
  • Work as a project manager/team leader on all aspects of client accounts and serve as a go-between for clients and various internal teams.
  • Support the sales team research and develop proposals for new business.
  • Will actively participate in weekly advertising meetings, content brainstorming sessions, and monthly account review meetings.
  • Will attend occasional networking events and sales calls in order to help develop business.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of account management experience (in an ad agency or digital media preferred)
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort working with individuals in all levels of the client organization, including interaction with senior-level management.
  • Strong marketing background
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with creative and strategic process, social media, advertising, and email marketing and online campaigns.
  • Ability to manage own schedule and workflow.
  • Team player.
  • Integrity, energy and creativity.
  • Fun and hard working; a get-it-done attitude.
